Soyuz TMA-5 was a Russian Soyuz TMA spacecraft flown to the International Space Station in 2004 and 2005. It launched from Baikonur on October 14, 2004 with Salizhan Sharipov, Leroy Chiao, and Yuri Shargin, docked with the ISS on October 16, and then served as the Expedition 10 crew's return spacecraft. Shargin returned earlier on Soyuz TMA-4, while Soyuz TMA-5 landed on April 24, 2005 UTC with Sharipov, Chiao, and ESA astronaut Roberto Vittori.
