Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory
The Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory is an active NASA space telescope launched on 20 November 2004 to study gamma-ray bursts and other cosmic events. Its Burst Alert Telescope, X-ray Telescope, and Ultraviolet/Optical Telescope collect coordinated gamma-ray, X-ray, ultraviolet, and visible observations; NASA is extending the mission through an orbit-boost effort.
