TRMM
TRMM was a retired joint NASA–JAXA Earth-observation orbiter launched on 27 November 1997 to measure tropical and subtropical rainfall, lightning, and precipitation structure for weather and climate research. It operated for 17 years before decommissioning on 8 April 2015.
