WISE/NEOWISE
WISE/NEOWISE was one NASA infrared space telescope spacecraft with two major mission phases: WISE surveyed the entire sky in infrared light after its 14 December 2009 launch, and the reactivated NEOWISE mission from 2013 through 2024 searched for and characterized near-Earth asteroids and comets. The spacecraft was decommissioned in August 2024 and reentered Earth’s atmosphere on 1 November 2024.
